Meet the Stockwells team!
We have a first class team
of care staff led by our Home Care Services
Manager who is assisted by the Care Supervisor
and Lead Support Worker. All staff are selected
carefully and personally by interview.

Our Care
Services Manager, Care Supervisor
and some of their team. |
We obtain at least two verbal
references and two written references. A
Criminal Records Bureau Enhanced Disclosure
is carried out as well as a POVA listing
check. The POVA check ensures that the prospective
employee is not included on the Protection
of Vulnerable Adults List of people unsuitable
to work with vulnerable adults.
Each Support Worker undergoes
training and will ultimately undertake a
National Vocational Qualification at Level
II. Some of our Support Workers then go
on to Level III. All NVQ candidates are
assessed during their working hours and
then given various assignments to complete
during their own time. If the Assessor wishes
to visit the Support Worker at your home
then your permission will be requested beforehand
and can be refused if you would prefer.
Our staff carry identification
cards with a photograph and wear a uniform
which bears our logo. Before the Support
Worker arrives at your home you should know
the name of the person who is coming and
if it is their first visit you should ask
to see their identification card. At the
end of each visit the Support Worker will
ask you to sign a timesheet. The timesheet
should accurately record the amount of time
spent with you and your signature will confirm
their attendance. We need a record of all
visits to enable us to maintain a correct
and efficient accounts system.
We are bound by a Code of
Conduct which includes preserving the confidentiality
of our Clients. We will not actively seek
confidential information unless it is in
your best interest. Where we do have such
information we undertake not to disclose
it without your permission except in an
emergency or crisis situation. We will always
keep you informed of such disclosures.
